2.06 -- Final Submission EXP2




After thorough research into the given clients, Yakov Chernikhov and Weiss/Manfredi, the two concepts chosen are as follows:

"Perspective lines are the generator of form"

AND

"Overlapping geometric forms create new structure"

My understanding then enabled me to draft up a design that represents both architects in a distinct way that connects and enhances the monument.  While these ideas were taken from A3 and B1 (see section 2.02), the final outcome results from a combination of the two architectural themes.  Hence, once the sense of integrating it with the landform became clear, the two original concepts were then combined and rewritten to form an Electroliquid Aggregation:

"The layering of geometric structure generates form through perspective."

An aerial shot provides a sense of integration between the two chosen concepts to form one continuous idea and monument

  

Close up of the rocky terrain while the sun is high up (noon time setting) to provide insight into the landscape on which the monument is situated on.

A second aerial shot from a northerly direction exposes the way the monument is implemented in to the terrain to form part of the landscape.  This creates a sense of unity between an artificial structure and the natural world around it.

Late afternoon: shot reveals the layering nature of the Weiss/Manfredi part of the monument to compliment the chosen concept, as well as the meeting space on a level piece of higher ground.

 

A nightime view is enhanced by the moonlight to show that while the monument is situated on rocky terrain adjacent to a deep chasm, the perspective nature of the elongated platform points towards the water's edge where it can be viewed on the lookout tower.
